Huppah
The huppah—meaning 'that which covers or floats above'—is a canopy supported by poles. It is a sign of God's presence at the wedding and in the home, and it symbolizes the home the bridal couple will establish together. While the huppah represents the emotional, physical and spiritual transition in the lives of the new couple, its frailness mirrors the fragility of peace within the home.
Maybe you're the bride, or the mother of the bride. Maybe you're Jewish, or maybe you're not, but your groom is! A huppah is traditional in a Jewish wedding, but it is not halakah (Jewish law)—it is more of a custom. This beautiful tradition is easy to incorporate into your wedding plans, whether you will be married in a synagogue or elsewhere, indoors or outside, in a ceremony as traditional or as modern as you choose. A huppah is a great way to incorporate the traditions of older generations into today... or, a great way to start a tradition of your very ownOrchids

Escort Table Design
Place cards are placed at each setting to ensure guests sit in the correct seats.
If you have assigned guests to seats you will need:
escort cards + table cards + place cards
If you have assigned guests to tables you will need:
escort cards + table cards
These can be as simple or elaborate as you like. More important is that you have a good table plan that seats the right guests together for a fun and enjoyable reception.

Wine Country Wedding
For a Wine theme wedding, a winery is the best choice because it offers great views, timeless beauty, and tranquility for your guests and your loved ones. Wineries usually have the resources to accommodate your party, all you have to do is ask! Indoor weddings can even be accommodated if the winery has a large tasting room.
For a Wine theme wedding, you can choose foods that are great with your favorite wines, or choose foods that complement a variety of wines, including red, white, and blush wines. Your cocktail hour before the reception can include a wine tasting. If you are not serving dinner at your Wine theme wedding, just choose wines that complement your hors d'oeuvres or a dessert wine for your wedding cake.
Choose wedding colors which compliment the colors of typical red and white wines. Tones of deep reds and burgundy to hues of pale green and blush; Bridesmaids' dresses, napkins, tablecloths, guest favors, bouquets, centerpieces, and even the bride's dress can include these colors at your Wine theme wedding.Monday, February 25, 2008
Color for the Groom
In the past, apparel for the wedding party usually consisted of plain, floor-length dresses and black tuxedos. But these days, the fashions can be as unique as the couples walking down the aisle. Grooms also are paying attention to their look.

Although black continues to reign at many weddings, color is now popping up as accessories on the men's side of the aisle. Vests and ties can compliment, but not necessarily match the colors of the bridesmaids dresses.

Groom's Cake

It's a personal choice when to serve the cake - either at the rehearsal dinner, as an alternate dessert with the wedding cake, or as a late night dessert for the wedding party. Obviously being named "Groom's Cake" it should be a flavor and theme that the groom enjoys.
